Our Mission at Incline Chiropractic
Our Therapies
Adjustments
Hands on and Activator adjustments are offered at Incline Chiropractic. We utilize the Thompson technique, as well as Diversified and Flexion Distraction. Chiropractic does not “cure” anything. You do! Chiropractic releases your body’s innate ability to heal. Your body does the healing.
Dry Needling
What is Dry Needling? It is a treatment using very tiny monofilament needles to help relieve pain and muscle tension. It also promotes healing by targeting trigger points and allowing the contracted myofibrils to relax. It is NOT traditional Chinese acupuncture, but instead a medical treatment that relies on a medical diagnosis to be effective. Dry needling is a valuable and effective treatment for musculoskeletal pain.
Bemer Pulse Electromagnetic Frequency
Just like batteries, your body’s cells can run down and be drained of energy. If you feel fatigued, Bemer Pulse Electromagnetic Frequency (PEMF) technology can help. PEMF technology sends magnetic energy to help your body send signals throughout your body and to your brain. The pulses help your movement and trigger healing. Dr. Railey is a Bemer distributor. Cupping
Cupping therapy reduces the level of inflammation in the body by increasing blood flow. With a decrease in inflammation, pain may also be reduced to provide an overall better quality of life. In ancient Chinese medicine it is considered a type of deep tissue massage. These treatments also relax the body and ease muscle tension. This therapy can also provide a deeper state of relaxation, indirectly reducing the effects stress has on the body.
Guasha
Used in ancient Chinese medicine, Guasha is a technique of scraping the skin with a massage tool to increase blood flow and break up adhesions in the muscles and under the skin. Dr. Railey also uses Guasha to help reduce facial adhesions created by scars in the sub-dermal layers of the skin.
Manual Traction
Dr. Railey uses this therapy to stretch the lumbar spine passively, allowing for the muscles and joints to warm up prior the adjustment. This also stretches the spinal ligaments that contain spinal discs, which also allows for disc treatments to be rendered through this therapy.
Percussion
A common therapy used in our Colorado Springs chiropractic office, this instrument is used to warm up tissues through gentle percussion of pressure. These bursts break down adhesions, release muscular tension and improves circulation and lymphatic drainage. This therapy ensures you are relaxed so you can receive the most out of your adjustment.
Pin and Stretch
This therapy is a form of deep tissue massage and stretching technique that is highly effective at treating problems with fascia, muscle, tendon and ligaments.
K Tape
Kinesiology tape, or K Tape, helps reduce inflammation in the body. By lifting the skin from the muscle, K Tape reduces fascial adhesion between these two layers. This allows skin and muscle to move more freely. It also helps with blood flow, reduces bruising, and helps with functional bio-mechanics.
